With Winter coming to a close in Australia, Oktoberfest is not too far away. Oktoberfest is loved across the globe and celebrated in Australia with traditional Bavarian food, costumes, music and of course beer.

Holding your own Oktoberfest themed party or picnic is a great way to celebrate and entertain outdoors. Create your theme for the day with some of our fabric.

We have 100% Cotton printed Drill gingham in sky blue and white 25mm (1″) check (additional colours available here). This fabric would be perfect as a tablecloth as it is 112cms wide and 190gsm in weight. This fabric, as shown above, would set the theme for the event. This fabric can be purchased by the metre or roll.

For those after a more traditional costume, our 100% Linen would make a comfortable shirt for those looking to create something to wear with Lederhosen.

Our Linen is available in ten colours, has been eco-certified and has a lovely handle to the fabric. It’s one of our favourite materials as it contains fabric softeners and is 220gsm, this makes it breathable for year-round wear even in the heat of summer.

Traditional Lederhosen is not like other trousers and can last a lifetime if properly looked after. Lederhosen made of tanned deer leather should not be washed. If you would like to keep your Ledernhosen clean, you may want to wear an apron while using the barbeque. We recommend our black and white check apron as it is 100% cotton drill. It has a fixed neck loop and waist ties.
