When dying, the fiber content of the material being dyed as well as the weight, effects how the colour appears, making fabrics like cotton, wool and silk absorb dye differently, slightly changing the hue and brightness of the chosen color. If you are in doubt as to whether your fabric will accept dye or achieve the color you want, we recommend testing a swatch.
